Sometimes I get caught up in myself. I somehow get caught up in my past, present, and future all rolled into one. October is the month of awesome, I’ve decided. I’m really doing my best to stay positive and think positively about myself and different situations I encounter. It’s going brilliantly, now that we’ve reached day three! One thing that’s been super awesome is that travel is like this candle leading me through. A star! It’s pretty wonderful.
For instance, I spontaneously bought a plane ticket and an Air BnB place on Sunday. And I don’t regret it at all. So I’ve got an end of the semester trip planned! Where to, you ask?
Looking good, am I right? Nice and French. Need another picture?
An Orleans of the new variety! I’m headed down to Louisiana the day I finish my finals! And by that I mean I scheduled a flight during my last final. I threw caution to the wind and hope it works out. Technically I have three finals in a day, which allows me to change one. So I’m not too concerned. I just found a flight that was too good to turn down!
I know, I know. It will be here before I know it. But I still feel like it will never be here. I’ve got quite a few hurdles to jump in the meantime! But it’s that light at the end of a tunnel. I mean. The light at the end of the first third of the tunnel. Because I’ll just have to go back to school anyway. But I’m digressing far too much.
I’m going to have some fun by learning some French (of which I know NONE…except for ballet terms and Moulin Rouge songs) on Duolingo. Studying Italian on there was just making my heart ache. So I’ve decided to have a nice little theme. I found this article, written by Benny from Fluent in 3 Months, and I’m obsessed! This is going to rock. I’m aware I don’t need French for this trip. But it’s the little things that get me by, eh?
But, hey! Have you ever been to New Orleans? Do you know an awesome blogger that’s been there? Send me over to their pages or fun things to do! I’m getting amped, and I need your help!
Have you ever traveled to New Orleans? Have you wanted to?
